
Vietnam-China bilateral investment directions and cooperation in the digital economy became the main content of the Vietnam-China Business Connection Workshop held on the afternoon of November 27 within the framework of the Autumn Economic Forum 2025.
The workshop was jointly organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (HCMC C4IR), the Chinese Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City and the Chinese Business Association in Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh City Branch.
Speaking at the workshop, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Loc Ha affirmed that Ho Chi Minh City is the leading locality in Vietnam in attracting investment from China. The city currently has more than 800 investment projects from China with a total registered capital of nearly 3 billion USD, focusing on key areas such as information technology and digital transformation, smart manufacturing and supporting industries, logistics and e-commerce, renewable energy and green technology.
Mr. Ha emphasized that in the new era, the two sides have many opportunities to cooperate in digital transformation and artificial intelligence, develop innovative megacities, and connect finance and investment. Ho Chi Minh City is committed to continuing to improve the investment and business environment, simplify administrative procedures, and create maximum favorable conditions for businesses. In particular, the City will build special cooperation mechanisms, creating a solid bridge through which Chinese businesses can access the large ASEAN market.

Mr. Duong Lap, Consul General of China in Ho Chi Minh City, emphasized that China and Vietnam are two friendly neighbors and important partners in the global supply and production chain. He affirmed that China will continue to promote policy coordination with Vietnam in the fields of connectivity, production cooperation and digital economy, in order to create a more favorable environment for trade and investment of enterprises of the two countries. The Chinese Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City will always firmly support and assist Vietnam-China business cooperation.

At the workshop, delegates enthusiastically discussed cooperation directions. Mr. Yang Wen Bin, Chief Supervisor of the Chinese Business Association in Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh City Branch, also proposed promoting cooperation in the field of digital economy and developing green industrial parks.
An important highlight of the program was the announcement of a memorandum of understanding between the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Ho Chi Minh City and Sunwah Group - a business with more than 50 years of association and investment in Vietnam in many fields.
In addition, representatives of Vietnam's Becamex Group, leaders of the Guangxi Trade Promotion Association (China) and Mr. Co Dieu Huy, Secretary of the Nanhai District Party Committee, Foshan City, Guangdong Province, along with many units and businesses from both sides also contributed many ideas and proposals to further promote bilateral economic cooperation in the coming time.
The workshop affirmed the potential and strong determination of both sides in enhancing cooperation and taking advantage of opportunities in the era of technology and digital transformation./.
