Conceding a goal in the 90+6 minute, Thanh Hoa regrettably shared points with Hanoi FC

(Dan Tri) - Despite opening the score first, Thanh Hoa Club still had to share points regrettably with Hanoi FC when the away team equalized in the 90+6 minute of extra time in the match of round 6 of V-League 2024-25 on the evening of November 3.

After the first defeat in the opening match of V-League, Thanh Hoa has experienced a series of sublimation matches when winning 10 points in 4 consecutive matches. Although not possessing many stars in the squad, the talent of coach Velizar Popov has created a team with a very cohesive playing style, strong in both attack and defense.

In the 4th minute, the home team Thanh Hoa almost opened the score when from a quick counter-attack from midfield, Yago Ramos passed the ball conveniently to Lucas Ribamar who tapped the ball close to the goal but the ball unfortunately went over the crossbar.

In the 18th minute, Ribamar received the ball again in the penalty area. Goalkeeper Van Hoang missed the ball while closing the angle, but Kyle Colonna promptly saved the situation by sliding his foot to clear the ball after the Brazilian striker's shot.

Despite playing confidently on the attack, the home team still lacked precision in the final finishing step and no goals were scored in the first half.

Entering the second half, the game was still in favor of the home team Thanh Hoa, but this time coach Velizar Popov's team did what they needed to do with the opening goal in the 65th minute.

The scorer was none other than striker Lucas Ribamar, when A Mit quickly passed the ball for the Brazilian striker to escape and then finished low, defeating goalkeeper Van Hoang.

Notably, Hanoi FC had scored against goalkeeper Xuan Hoang in the 57th minute but the goal was disallowed due to Van Quyet's offside.

Having conceded a goal, Hanoi FC was forced to raise their squad to attack in search of an equalizer. In the 68th minute, from a chaotic play in the penalty area, the ball came to the feet of striker Van Quyet but he unfortunately shot inaccurately and the ball went over the crossbar.

Under pressure from the visitors, Thanh Hoa players proactively retreated to defend and waited for a counter-attack opportunity. The tactics of coach Velizar Popov and his team proved effective when Hanoi FC's impatience caused the attacks to become deadlocked.

It seemed like victory belonged to the Thanh team, but in the 90 +6 minute of extra time, from a long pass in the middle of the field, midfielder Hai Long controlled the ball with his chest in front of the penalty area and then fired a left-footed shot to defeat goalkeeper Xuan Hoang and seal a 1-1 draw for Hanoi FC in round 6 of LPBank V-League 2024-25.
