On the morning of July 5, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council held a working session with the Provincial People's Committee on the implementation of the National Target Program on New Rural Development for the 2021-2025 period in the province. Chairing the meeting were comrades: Nguyen Nhu Khoi, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Van De, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

At the working session, the monitoring delegation highly appreciated the compliance with regulations in implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction for the 2021-2025 period in the province. Based on the results achieved, along with some difficulties and problems raised, the monitoring delegation of the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee made a number of recommendations to the Provincial People's Committee.

That is: focus on propaganda work on new rural construction in the province, ensuring sustainability. Review documents, regional, district, commune planning work, and related policies to promptly propose appropriate supplements, edits, and replacements. Pay attention to improving quality when completing new rural construction criteria, especially criteria on income, labor, production organization and rural economic development. Re-evaluate the performance of cooperatives in the province, especially agricultural cooperatives; Focus on improving the quality of OCOP products, especially brand building, diversifying forms of product promotion; Focus on the quality of appraisal and recognition of units meeting new rural standards, OCOP products; Strengthen public asset management, speed up the process and procedures for handling registered projects.

The monitoring delegation proposed that the Provincial People's Committee have a plan to resolve the situation of slow cement support for communes in the process of implementing new rural areas, and focus on accelerating the disbursement progress of the Program's capital. Along with that, it is necessary to strengthen inspection, examination, supervision and strictly handle violations in the implementation of the National Target Program on New Rural Construction for the period 2021 - 2025 in Nghe An province in the coming time.
