( Bqp.vn ) – On the evening of July 29, in Hanoi, the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Vietnam held a solemn reception to celebrate the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (August 1, 1927 - August 1, 2024). Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of National Defense, attended the reception on behalf of the leadership of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense.

At the reception, Colonel Jiang Ba, Chinese Defense Attaché in Vietnam, reviewed the process of building, developing and growing up of the Chinese People's Liberation Army over the past 97 years; emphasizing that the Chinese People's Liberation Army is willing to join hands with the Vietnamese side to promote the relationship between the two countries' armies to continuously develop, contributing more to the development of the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between the two countries.

Speaking at the reception, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien sent his congratulations to all generals, officers and soldiers of the Chinese People's Liberation Army on this important holiday. Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien assessed that in recent years, the Vietnam - China defense cooperation relationship has continued to be affirmed as an important pillar in the relationship between the two countries, demonstrated through many substantive and effective cooperation contents in areas such as: Exchange of delegations at all levels, especially high-level meetings and contacts; cooperation in border management and protection; Vietnam - China border defense friendship exchange; cooperation between military branches and services; exchange of young officers;education - training, etc.

Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien believes that, with the foundation of traditional friendship, together with the high political determination of the leaders of the two Parties, two States and two Armies, bilateral defense cooperation in the coming time will become increasingly more substantial and trustworthy, bringing practical benefits to the people of the two countries, for peace, stability and development in the region and the world.
