( Bqp.vn ) - On the morning of May 29, at the Headquarters of the Ministry of National Defense , Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Minister of National Defense received and worked with the Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam, Vuong Bon. Also attending were representatives of the Chinese Defense Attaché Office in Vietnam.

At the meeting, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien emphasized that in recent times, the relationship between the two Parties and the two countries has developed positively, with delegation exchanges at all levels, ministries and sectors being promoted. On the basis of the traditional friendship and political trust between the two countries, the Vietnam-China defense cooperation continues to be affirmed as an important pillar in the relationship between the two countries. In particular, land border cooperation activities have been enhanced, including promoting cooperation in border management and protection, opening new and upgrading border gates, promoting tourism and trade cooperation; exchange activities, twinning, and joint patrols between border forces and units stationed on both sides of the border have been carried out regularly, contributing to building a peaceful, stable and developed land border.

Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien suggested that in the coming time, the two sides continue to thoroughly implement the common perception of the two countries' senior leaders and the signed cooperation documents and minutes, and continue to further promote border friendship exchange activities such as exchanges of young officers and political work exchanges between the Vietnam Border Guard and the China National Immigration Administration.
