Ensuring the preparation progress of Lao Cai International Tourism Fair 2025

Comrade Hoang Quoc Khanh, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Fair Organizing Committee chaired the meeting.

Attending the meeting were members of the Organizing Committee of Lao Cai International Tourism Fair 2025.

Reporting at the meeting, the leader of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - the standing agency of the Organizing Committee said: Up to now, the preparation work for LITM 2025 is being implemented according to the schedule of Plan 163 of the Provincial People's Committee. Up to now, 126/130 booths from 19 provinces and cities in the country have registered to participate. International delegations, businesses and domestic and foreign tourism organizations are continuing to be invited and promoted through communication, promotion and partner connection programs. Communication, promotion, preparation of opening and closing ceremonies, reception of famtrip and presstrip delegations, organization of seminars and B2B, B2C activities... are being urgently completed.

However, the implementation process also encountered some difficulties. Some agencies and businesses in Yunnan Province (China) have not yet officially responded to participate in the fair. In addition, the Hong Ha Chau art troupe could not perform as planned due to a conflicting schedule, forcing the Organizing Committee to quickly work with the Di Lac City government to invite them to perform instead.

In the following week, the Organizing Committee will continue to implement plans related to reception, communications, famtrip – presstrip survey program organization, B2B and B2C activities, and many other important contents. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism also proposed that the Organizing Committee soon approve plans for stage arrangement, exhibition space, and coordinate specific assignments between departments and branches to ensure the organization takes place safely, professionally and effectively.

At the meeting, delegates discussed the key contents: the plan to organize the opening and closing ceremonies, logistics, art program script, interpretation work, traffic diversion plan and ensuring security and order, environmental sanitation as well as ensuring food safety during the fair.

Delegates were particularly interested in organizing business-to-business (B2B) networking activities, seminars on green tourism development, famtrips, and promotional communications. Some opinions suggested speeding up the issuance of detailed plans and timely coordination between units to ensure quality and effectiveness of the organization.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Hoang Quoc Khanh, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, highly appreciated the initiative and preparation work for the fair up to this point.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: There are only more than 10 days left until the fair takes place, all preparation stages need to be carefully reviewed, and any arising issues need to be thoroughly resolved. He requested that the agencies and member units of the Organizing Committee continue to promote the spirit of initiative, closely coordinate and urgently complete the remaining contents, especially the development of the script for the opening and closing ceremonies, cultural and artistic performances and plans to welcome international delegations; proactively prepare an interpretation plan to serve international delegates during the entire period of the fair; develop a traffic diversion plan, arrange forces to ensure security and order, fire and explosion safety in the area where the activities take place; promptly complete plans to ensure logistics...
