According to the forecast of Lao Cai Province's Hydrometeorological Station, tonight and tomorrow, localities in the province will have scattered showers and thunderstorms at night and early morning, with some places having heavy rain and sunny days.

Tonight and tomorrow, due to the influence of the southern edge of the low pressure trough with an axis at about 25 - 28 degrees North latitude connecting with the low pressure area in the West combined with the weak convergence zone of high winds, the weather in localities in the province is as follows: Cloudy, with rain, moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy rain in some places, sunny during the day, hot in low areas. Southeast wind level 2. High areas are cold at night and early morning, some places are cold.

Low mountainous areas (including districts: Bao Yen, Bao Thang, Van Ban and some lowland communes of Bat Xat and Muong Khuong districts): Cloudy, with rain, moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy rain. Southeast wind level 2. Temperature from 26 to 34 ^o C, average humidity above 85%.

High mountainous areas (including districts: Bat Xat, Muong Khuong, Si Ma Cai): Cloudy, with rain, moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy rain. Southeast wind level 2. Cold at night and early morning. Temperature from 20 to 30 ^o C, average humidity above 90%.

Lao Cai City: Cloudy, sometimes with rain, moderate rain and thunderstorms. Southeast wind level 2. Temperature from 26 to 34 ^o C, average humidity above 85%.

Sa Pa tourist area: Cloudy, sometimes rain, moderate rain and thunderstorms. South wind level 2. Cold at night and early morning. Temperature from 18 to 25 ^o C, average humidity above 90%.

Bac Ha tourist area: Cloudy, sometimes rain, moderate rain and thunderstorms. Southeast wind level 2. Cold at night and early morning. Temperature from 20 to 30 ^o C, average humidity above 90%.

Widespread thunderstorms are likely to be accompanied by extreme phenomena such as hail, tornadoes, strong winds and lightning. Therefore, local people, especially those in mountainous areas, need to be on guard against such natural disasters causing damage.
