Thanh Nghi Street is one of the main roads connecting garden houses in Thuy Bieu, often visited by tourist groups. Previously, this road was quite small, about 4 - 5m wide, so it was quite inconvenient for vehicles to travel, especially for 16-seat tourist cars stopping to pick up and drop off visitors to the garden houses. Implementing the project to expand the alley of the Hue City People's Committee, the government, the Fatherland Front and organizations of Thuy Bieu ward surveyed, made an investment plan to expand, and at the same time established mobilization groups to mobilize people to donate land to build the road.

After a period of mobilization, many households agreed to donate land, including Mr. Ho Xuan Ninh's household who voluntarily donated 500m2, some households agreed to donate from 100-300m2. Thanks to that, up to now, Thanh Nghi road project with a total investment of 5.6 billion VND, a length of more than 1 km, a road surface of 8m wide has been completed, creating favorable conditions for people and vehicles to circulate. Along with Thanh Nghi road, recently Thuy Bieu ward has mobilized people to donate land to expand a number of alleys in the area, such as alleys 30, 32 Thanh Nghi; alleys 30, 48 Ngo Ha; Long Tho, Bui Thi Xuan streets...

Chairman of Thuy Bieu Ward People's Committee, Mr. Vo Dang Thai, said that promoting the effectiveness of mobilizing people to donate land to open roads, after the city had a policy to expand the alley, from mid-2024 until now, the government, the Front and organizations have "gone to every alley, mobilized every house" to mobilize households on the alley roads to donate land, creating a flat surface for the project implementation.

Through mobilization, there are currently more than 100 households voluntarily donating 5,000 - 6,000m2 of garden land to implement the project of expanding alleys. It is expected that in early 2025, the ward will expand 8 alleys from 3m to 5.5m, with a total cost of about 21 billion VND from the city budget, including: Alley 12 Thanh Nghi, Alley 12 Ngo Ha, Alley 8 and 40 Nguyet Bieu...

As one of the households that have just agreed to donate land to widen the alley (alley 8 Nguyet Bieu) in 2025, Mr. Hoang Trong Kha in Dong Phuoc 1 group shared: “The family has 4 children, 2 of them went to work far away and then started a business in the South, the other 2 here also moved out to live separately, so the family only has 2 old people. With a garden area of more than 1,000m2, recently the ward officials came to mobilize land donation to open the road, we agreed to donate nearly 200m2 to make the road wider and more airy”.

According to Mr. Vo Dang Thai, in order to effectively implement projects to expand roads in the area, mass mobilization plays an important role in creating consensus among the people. Therefore, after the city's policy on expanding alleys, the ward organized a meeting of key officials, heads of residential groups and assigned responsibilities to organizations and residential groups to mobilize people. During the mobilization process, some people agreed, but some did not agree, but through many different ways of doing and mobilizing, up to now, hundreds of households have agreed to donate land to open roads, contributing to creating a spacious urban area, spacious roads, and at the same time meeting the travel needs of tourists and vehicles when visiting garden houses in the area.
