On the afternoon of May 24, a working delegation of the Provincial People's Committee led by Mr. Nguyen Khac Than, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, had a working session with the Tien Hai District People's Committee on the socio -economic development situation, disbursement of public investment capital, and removal of difficulties in production and business. Attending the meeting were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; leaders of the Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee and departments, branches and sectors.

In the first 5 months of 2023, the total production value of the district is estimated at 9,808 billion VND, an increase of 11.4% over the same period in 2022, reaching 38.8% of the annual plan; of which agriculture , forestry and fishery increased by 2.6%; industry and construction increased by 15.27% and services increased by 8.6%. Up to now, 2 communes have completed advanced new rural areas, 4 communes have completed the criteria and are completing the appraisal documents. Site clearance continues to be effectively implemented; a number of key and important connecting projects are focused on resources for early completion, creating momentum for investment attraction and economic development. In terms of public investment capital disbursement, by May 15, 2023, it is estimated that nearly 49 billion VND has been implemented, reaching 54.3% of the capital plan of the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee.

At the meeting, the leaders of Tien Hai District People's Committee reported to clarify a number of problems and difficulties and made proposals and recommendations: The Provincial People's Committee should soon issue a mechanism to support and reward communes that meet advanced new rural standards; promptly submit to the Prime Minister for approval local adjustments to the master plan for the construction of Thai Binh Economic Zone as a basis for Tien Hai district to implement other plans; have solutions to remove difficulties for enterprises in the industrial park when converting to using LNG; increase attention to investing in facilities, human resources and have a mechanism to support officials doing digital transformation work...

In his concluding remarks, Comrade Nguyen Khac Than, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, praised Tien Hai district for achieving many positive results in socio-economic development despite many difficulties and having good growth, creating a premise for successfully completing the socio-economic development goals and tasks in 2023.

Emphasizing that the district still has a lot of room for development, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that in the coming time, Tien Hai district seriously and fully implement the direction of the Government, the Prime Minister and the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee on grasping and removing difficulties and obstacles to promote production and business development. At the same time, he requested that immediately after the working session, a working group be established to review and grasp difficulties and obstacles, on that basis, timely solutions should be found for enterprises and projects in the area; focusing on developing industry, trade and services, focusing on site clearance to attract investment in industrial parks and industrial clusters in the area where there is still room; focusing on developing agriculture and building new rural areas; performing well the tasks of budget revenue and expenditure according to the assigned estimates; continuing to promote the effectiveness of public investment; focusing on removing difficulties and obstacles in land auctions to increase revenue for the state budget.

The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also responded to recommendations and proposals from Tien Hai district; at the same time, assigned relevant departments and branches to study and advise on timely solutions.

The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested relevant departments, agencies and Tien Hai district to promptly implement the next steps so that the project can be approved soon; Tien Hai district should step up propaganda so that people can grasp and understand the significance and role of the project for the local socio-economic development, thereby creating consensus among the people; at the same time, focus on reviewing the current land status, taking steps to reclaim the land area of aquaculture households in the project area whose land lease term has expired.
