These days, walking along many roads in the province, we have recorded many cases of people encroaching on roadsides to dry rice, especially people living along national and provincial highways.
Along National Highways 45 and 47, Nghi Son - Sao Vang road through Dong Son, Thieu Hoa, Trieu Son districts, every short distance there are strips of rice being dried by people on the road. In many locations, people not only dry rice on one side but also dump rice on both sides of the road, causing the national highway to be narrowed by more than half.

Not only occupying the roadside and sidewalk to dry rice, some households also use bricks, stones, wood, trash cans... to block their "mobile rice yard". That has hindered traffic, causing serious traffic safety problems.
Police force propagates and reminds people not to dry rice on the road.
To rectify the above situation, the police force has been strengthening supervision, inspection, and reminding the people, and on the other hand, strictly handling cases of intentional violations toeducate and deter. In particular, the top priority is the propaganda work on the harmful effects of drying and burning straw on the environment, health, life and property of people to raise the sense of responsibility, contributing to thoroughly solving the situation of encroachment on the roadway and sidewalk.
