Dai Loc sprints to complete temporary housing demolition

(QNO) - Dai Loc district has been urgently implementing the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the area, with the goal of completion in June 2025.

Mr. Dang Van Ky - Acting Chairman of Dai Loc District People's Committee said that in the period of 2023 - 2025, the locality has a total of 434 temporary houses approved for support for repair and new construction. Of the 434 households approved for housing support, the number of households in Group I (meritorious people) according to Decision No. 21 of the Prime Minister is 141 households, of which 21 households are newly built, 120 households are repaired; the number of households in Group III (meritorious people and their relatives, near-poor, poor households with temporary houses, dilapidated houses) is 293 households, of which 100 households are newly built and 193 households are repaired.

The total budget for implementing the elimination of 434 temporary and dilapidated houses in the district, according to Decision No. 873, dated April 4, 2025 of the Provincial People's Committee, is 16.65 billion VND. Of which, the budget for implementing housing for meritorious people is 4.86 billion VND; housing for meritorious people, poor and near-poor households is 11.790 billion VND.

In the period of 2023 - 2025, the total allocated budget for eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses is 15.79 billion VND, of which the central budget is 3.888 billion VND; the provincial budget is 10.342 billion VND, and the provincial Front supports 1.56 billion VND.

In accordance with Resolution No. 13/2023/NQ-HDND, Dai Loc has 293 policy households, meritorious people, poor and near-poor households with degraded houses meeting the standards of temporary and dilapidated houses that need support. After one year of implementation, with the participation of the entire political system, the locality has so far completed the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for 270 households (83 newly built, 187 repaired).

The district has also implemented Decision No. 21/2024/QD-TTg, completing 38 houses/38 households (1 new construction, 37 repairs). The locality is currently continuing to implement the remaining 90 houses (15 new construction, 75 repairs).

"Thus, up to this point, the whole district has completed 308 houses, 90 houses are under construction, and 36 cases are not being implemented. The district is committed to completing the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses by June 30, 2025, according to the general schedule" - Mr. Dang Van Ky informed.
