At the time of the survey at 3:30 p.m. on May 30, 2025, the domestic gold market recorded a strong upward trend, marking a remarkable improvement. Specifically, the price of SJC gold bars and major brands all increased significantly compared to yesterday.
The price of SJC gold bars in Hanoi is listed at 116-118.5 million VND/tael (buy - sell), recording an increase of 500 thousand VND/tael in both directions. Similarly, DOJI Group also listed the gold price at the same level, with a similar increase.
Mi Hong Jewelry Company maintained the price of SJC gold bars at 116.5-118 million VND/tael, showing a sideways trend compared to the previous session.
PNJ stood out with the highest increase, when the buying price reached 111.2 million VND/tael and the selling price was 114 million VND/tael, increasing by 900 thousand and 600 thousand VND/tael respectively.
Vietinbank Gold listed the selling price at 118.5 million VND/tael, an increase of 500 thousand VND/tael compared to yesterday.
At Bao Tin Minh Chau Company, SJC gold bar price is traded at 116-118.5 million VND/tael (buy - sell), with an increase of 500 thousand VND/tael in both directions.
Phu Quy recorded the strongest increase of the day, when the buying price reached 115.5 million VND/tael and the selling price was 118.5 million VND/tael, an increase of 1 million VND/tael compared to the previous session.
At the end of the trading session on May 30, 2025, the domestic gold market had a strong increase in price, reflecting the positive trend in the international market. This promises to continue to motivate domestic investors in the coming days.

Update gold price this afternoon 5/30/2025 in the world
At the time of trading at 3:30 p.m. on May 30, 2025 (Vietnam time), the world gold price recorded by Kitco was at 3,297.77 USD/ounce. Converted according to the USD exchange rate on the free market (26,170 VND/USD), the world gold price is equivalent to about 104.34 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Compared with the domestic SJC gold bar price on the same day (116.0-118.5 million VND/tael), the SJC gold price is currently about 14.16 million higher than the international gold price.
Spot gold rose 0.4% to $3,297.77 an ounce, according to the update. The rise in the dollar, with the U.S. dollar index up 0.2%, made gold more expensive for overseas buyers. Brian Lan, managing director at GoldSilver Central in Singapore, said gold prices were stable for now, although the range seemed a little wider due to confidence in the U.S. dollar.
The US personal consumption expenditures (PCE) report, considered the Fed's preferred inflation gauge, is due at 12:30 GMT. Forecasts show inflation likely rose 2.2% in April, up from 2.3% in March.
San Francisco Fed President Mary Daly said Thursday that policymakers will likely cut interest rates twice this year, but should keep them on hold for now to ensure inflation stays on track to the central bank's 2% target.
