The tour lasted 3 days and 2 nights. According to the program, the veterans visited the Memorial and Phu Quoc Prison Relic, where revolutionary soldiers were imprisoned and tortured by the enemy during the two wars for national independence.
At the same time, the veterans were also taken to visit famous landscapes on the pearl island in the southernmost region of the Fatherland.

Organizing the visit of war veterans and people with revolutionary contributions to Phu Quoc Prison is one of the outstanding activities, demonstrating the tradition of "Repaying gratitude" and "Drinking water, remembering its source" of the Vietnamese people. At the same time, it shows the gratitude of the Party, government and people of Tien Giang province towards people with revolutionary contributions.
Comrade Nguyen Thi Kieu Loan, Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs, said that according to the plan, in 2025, the province will organize a tour for 270 people with revolutionary contributions; including 30 veterans to visit Phu Quoc, 30 veterans to visit Con Dao and 210 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and other people with revolutionary contributions to visit the capital Hanoi and famous places in the northern provinces.
