The activities of “Repaying gratitude” and “Drinking water, remembering its source” are maintained and widely implemented, contributingto educating ethics and cultural lifestyle for the younger generation. The application of modern technology, typically the campaign “One good news every day, one beautiful story every week” on social networks creates a positive information channel, spreading good values in the community.
The innovation in the methods of propaganda and education of the Youth Union has shown clear effectiveness. The application of information technology not only helps the resolutions of the Party and the Youth Union to be closer to the youth, but also arouses initiative and creativity in the implementation process. President Ho Chi Minh advised: "Cultivating the next generation of revolutionaries is a very important and necessary task". Through educational activities and patriotic emulation movements, the young generation has the opportunity to practice, mature, live with ideals, and actively contribute to the cause of building and developing the country.
Traditional education for the young generation is to contribute to building and protecting the Fatherland.
In that context, revolutionary songs emerged as a unique and effective means of traditional education. With heroic melodies and meaningful lyrics, these songs vividly and authentically recreate the heroic history of the nation, contributing to arousing pride and self-esteem, strengthening faith in the Party and the country's path of innovation. Therefore, the Youth Union of An Giang University has launched the column "50 days - 50 melodies" to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.
The program "50 days - 50 melodies" is broadcast at 11:30 every day on Fanpage and TikTok Youth_AGU, bringing students revolutionary songs that have lasted through the years. This is an activity that creates a meaningful musical space, connecting generations through heroic melodies. Each song is a story, a vivid image of the war for independence and freedom, helping students understand more deeply the history of the nation, about the great sacrifices of our ancestors to have peace and independence today.
To increase the interactivity and depth of the program, An Giang University plans to organize a discussion, inviting historical witnesses and artists to share about the meaning of revolutionary songs. Contests on historical knowledge related to the songs are also planned to be held, to encourage students to learn more about the context of creation, historical significance and artistic value of these musical works.
In addition, recording the moments and emotions of students when listening to revolutionary melodies and sharing them on social networks will create a strong ripple effect, attracting the attention of many young people. The program can even be expanded to include performing arts, making video clips, and covering songs to enhance creativity and active participation of students.
Secretary of the Youth Union of An Giang University Tran Trung Quoc shared: “Revolutionary songs are not just music, but also stories and vivid images of the war for national independence and freedom. The column helps students realize the value of peace and freedom that their ancestors sacrificed to gain, and at the same time encourages them to promote a sense of responsibility towards society.”
Revolutionary songs are both a musical history lesson and a great source of motivation, urging today's young generation to "act" with practical actions. Because peace and freedom are priceless, they are the foundation for the young generation to reach their dreams and noble ambitions. "Let's continue writing the story of peace with me/ Looking at the bright homeland in the dawn/ Looking at the sunlight shining brightly on the fluttering national flag..." - the song "Continuing the story of peace" is like an affirmation of the desire to contribute of the young generation in the new era.
