(CPV) - Phu Yen Market Management Department has just destroyed all 12,168 boxes of shisha tobacco (250g/box) without invoices or documents.

The leader of the Phu Yen Market Management Department said that the unit had just coordinated with functional agencies to destroy confiscated administrative violation evidence of 12,168 boxes of shisha tobacco, 250g type, on October 17.

Previously, on the evening of August 10, at Tuy An Traffic Police Station (on National Highway 1, through An My Commune, Tuy An District), Market Management Team No. 1 coordinated with the Traffic Police Department of Phu Yen Province to inspect a truck with license plate 89H-018.47 driven by Mr. Nguyen Trong Chung (residing in Hung Yen Province), traveling in the South - North direction. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the vehicle contained 12,168 boxes of shisha tobacco, 250g. At the time of inspection, Mr. Chung could not provide invoices or documents proving the legality of the goods.

At the end of September, the Phu Yen Market Management Department also coordinated with relevant agencies to destroy 26,630 packs of smuggled cigarettes. These smuggled cigarettes were discovered, confiscated and inspected by inspection forces during the business and transportation process through Phu Yen province from 2021 to present.
