TikTok is about to launch the image social network TikTok Notes

Báo Thanh niênBáo Thanh niên10/04/2024

According to Gizmodo , TikTok is trying its hand at a new photo-sharing app called 'TikTok Notes' to directly compete with Instagram, the giant that dominates the photo-based social network market. However, with a name that overlaps with an Instagram feature and potential difficulties in attracting users, the new social network still has a long way to go to succeed.

Some TikTok users recently received a notification about the launch of Notes, a new app dedicated to photo posts. According to the notification, photos shared on TikTok will automatically be synced to Notes when the app launches, but users can choose to turn this feature off if they want.

However, the name TikTok Notes has caused a lot of controversy. Because 'Notes' is often used to describe text-based posts, it is not suitable for a photo-sharing app like TikTok Notes.

Additionally, Instagram also has a feature called Instagram Notes, which are short posts that appear in the app’s messages section. This duplication of names can be confusing for users and make it difficult for them to differentiate between the two apps.

Although the company has confirmed the existence of Notes, the app has not been officially launched yet. TikTok has also not revealed any further details about the feature or a specific launch time.

Whether TikTok Notes succeeds or fails will depend on many factors, such as its ability to attract users, its innovative features, and its ability to compete with other photo-sharing apps like Instagram.
