Anatomy of a Fall revolves around the investigation into the mysterious death of a man. The wife of the unfortunate man, a female writer, is arrested on suspicion of murdering her husband. The woman must find a way to prove her innocence after her husband's sudden death.

Although the film revolves around a case and has many legal details, Anatomy of a Fall is actually an "anatomy" of the writer's married life. In the courtroom, every private detail of the writer's married life is analyzed and dissected in front of the press and the public. Everything happens as if the private lives of two people are under a microscope, every private detail is analyzed publicly.

Justine Triet - the director of Anatomy of a Fall is the third woman in the history of the Cannes Film Festival to win the Palme d'Or (after Jane Campion for The Piano and Julia Ducournau for Titane). Veteran American actress Jane Fonda presented the award to the 44-year-old French director.

The Best Actress award was given to Turkish actress Merve Dizdar for her role in the film About Dry Grasses . Dizdar plays a village school teacher. The film revolves around the theme of education . The important characters in the film are all teachers. The 197-minute film is considered to be philosophical.

The Best Screenplay Award was given to Japanese writer Yuji Sakamoto for the film Monster . The story begins with a boy named Minato behaving more and more strangely. His mother notices something unusual about her son and tries to find an explanation. The mother believes that a teacher at school is the cause of her son's abnormality.

The mother goes to the school and demands to know what is going on. The truth is gradually revealed as the story is told through the eyes of the mother, the teacher and the child.

The Golden Camera Award was given to the film Inside the Golden Cocoon by Vietnamese director Pham Thien An. The Golden Camera Award at the Cannes Film Festival is given to honor an excellent first film. The 3-hour film was written and directed by Pham Thien An himself.

The film revolves around the male protagonist on a journey to bring his sister-in-law's body back to her hometown for burial. The unfortunate woman died in a traffic accident, leaving behind a young son who was only 5 years old.

The lucky child who survived the traffic accident went with his uncle back to his hometown to hold a funeral for the deceased. When he arrived home, the male protagonist recalled his childhood and youth with his brother who had disappeared. The male protagonist knew that struggles had, are, and will continue to surround his life and that of his relatives.
