Found the body of the victim swept away by flood while swimming across the Chay River.

The leader of Lung Phinh Commune People's Committee said that at around 7:00 a.m. on October 4, search and rescue forces found the body of a victim who was swept away by floodwaters while swimming across Chay River.

The location was found in the Chay River area in Phin Chu 3 village, Sin Cheng commune. After bringing the body to shore, the police force conducted an autopsy and investigation according to regulations and coordinated with the authorities to hand over the body to the family for burial according to local customs.

Forces from communes in the Chay River area actively helped with the search.

Previously, at around 9:00 a.m. on September 30, Lung Phinh Commune Police received a report from the people that a person swimming across the Chay River in Lu Di San village, Si Ma Cai commune was swept away by floodwaters.

Through verification of the incident, the person who swam across the river was Mr. Sung Seo Chu, born in 1993, residing in Lenh Sui Thang village, Lung Phinh commune.

Upon receiving the news, Lung Phinh commune mobilized forces to participate in the search; at the same time, it notified Si Ma Cai Border Guard Station and communes along the Chay River such as Si Ma Cai, Sin Cheng, Cao Son, Pha Long, Bao Nhai, and Coc Lau to coordinate in the search for the victim.
