Body of missing victim swept away by floodwaters found

On June 24, the leader of the People's Committee of Vo Mieu commune, Thanh Son district, said that the body of a young man swept away by floodwaters while passing through the overflow of Vang hamlet had been found.

After many hours of searching, the victim's body was found.

According to information from the People's Committee of Vo Mieu commune, the victim was Mr. HMC (born in 2002), residing in Lien Chung hamlet, Thu Cuc commune, Tan Son district.

Previously, at 2:00 a.m. on June 23, Mr. HMC and two other people were traveling by motorbike through the overflow point of Xom Vang when an accident occurred, Mr. HMC was swept away by floodwaters. The People's Committee of Vo Mieu Commune and the Commune's PCTT and TKCN Command Board mobilized police and militia forces to immediately go to the scene to grasp the situation and direct the search.

By this morning, the authorities had found the victim’s body, about 3km from the accident site. The local authorities had handed it over to the family for burial according to local customs.
