Major General, Associate Professor - Doctor Tran Giang (born in 1930; Hometown: Ninh Giang Town, Ninh Giang District, Hai Duong Province (now Ninh Giang Commune, Hai Phong City); Residence: Room 101 - House D11, Lane 119 Ho Dac Di, Kim Lien Ward, Hanoi City) - Member of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Pre-uprising cadre; former Head of the Department of Party Work, Political Work, National Defense Academy, retired.

Second-class Military Exploit Medal; First-class Military Exploit Medal; Second and Third-class Victory Medal; Second-class Liberation Soldier Medal; First, Second and Third-class Glorious Soldier Medal; Victory Flag Medal; 80-year Party membership badge.

He passed away at 6:15 p.m. on November 25, 2025, at his home.

Visitation from 9am to 10am on November 29, 2025 at the National Funeral Home, No. 5, Tran Thanh Tong, Hanoi .

Memorial service at 10am the same day; cremation at Hoan Vu crematorium, Van Dien, Hanoi.
