Barca close to La Liga title

Having let many key players rest for the second leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final, Barca started rather slowly at Real Valladolid. In the 6th minute, the home team unexpectedly took a 1-0 lead thanks to Ivan Sanchez.

However, after Lamine Yamal, Raphinha and Frenkie De Jong entered the field, Barca's performance improved significantly. Raphinha and Fermin Lopez scored in the 54th and 61st minutes respectively to bring a 2-1 victory to Barca.

With this result, Barca continues to lead the table with 79 points, temporarily 7 points ahead of Real Madrid. But Real Madrid can shorten the gap if they win against Celta Vigo in the late match taking place tonight, May 4.

Due to lack of motivation to compete and having to conserve energy for the second leg of the Champions League semi-final, Arsenal lost 1-2 to Bournemouth at home at Emirates Stadium.

In the 12th minute, Declan Rice scored to give the Gunners a 1-0 lead, then Huijsen and Evanilson scored in the 67th and 75th minutes respectively to bring victory to Bournemouth.

Despite losing the match, Arsenal is still second in the table with 67 points, 3 points more than Manchester City. Meanwhile, Bournemouth is ranked 8th with 53 points, 2 points more than the two teams below, Fulham and Brighton.
