Industrial production situation in the first 6 months of the year in Dak Lak province

In the first 6 months of 2025, the industrial production situation in Dak Lak province has had strong developments, achieving positive results, contributing significantly to the overall growth of the local economy. The main industries, especially the processing and manufacturing industry and electricity production, have recorded stable and significant growth, reflecting the continuous efforts of enterprises and support from the province's industrial development policies.

The industrial production index in the first half of 2025 achieved impressive growth, especially in June 2025, with an increase of 22.15% over the same period last year. Specifically, the mining industry had a strong breakthrough, reaching a growth rate of 30.35%, while the manufacturing and processing industry also had solid growth with an increase of 27.73%. The electricity, gas and hot water production and distribution industry grew by 15.86%. In the first 6 months of the year, the industrial production index of Dak Lak province increased by 15.26% compared to 2024, with great contributions from the mining, manufacturing and electricity production industries.
In the manufacturing and processing industry, the main products all achieved good growth compared to the same period last year. Specifically, cassava starch is one of the outstanding products with an estimated output of 83,000 tons in the first 3 months of 2025, up 6.9% compared to 2024. Similarly, sugar factories also recorded an output of 64,000 tons, up 3.5%. The beer industry also had strong growth, with an estimated output of 38.179 million liters, up 7.2%. In particular, the coffee industry also showed stable growth, with an output of 21,470 tons, up 10.9% over the same period last year. Steel factories also recorded a big step forward when steel output was estimated at 167,470 tons, up 17.9% compared to 2024.
In addition, electricity production and distribution also achieved remarkable results. The total commercial electricity output in the first 6 months of 2025 is estimated at 1,315 million kWh, an increase of 0.4% compared to 2024. In particular, electricity production reached 2,973 million kWh, an increase of 15.9% over the same period last year.
These results not only reflect the efforts of industrial enterprises in the province but also show the sustainable development of key industries in Dak Lak. Thereby, contributing to increasing production value, contributing to the budget and creating jobs for workers.
In the coming time, to maintain this momentum of development, the Department of Industry and Trade of Dak Lak province will continue to implement measures to promote industrial production, especially increasing support for businesses in improving the investment environment and attracting new investment projects. The development of processing and manufacturing industries, especially deep-processed agricultural production industries such as coffee, pepper, and other industrial products will continue to be focused on, in order to create a solid foundation for the province's economic development in the coming years.
With the results achieved in the first 6 months of 2025, Dak Lak province is gradually affirming its position in the region, as one of the provinces with strongly developing industrial production in the Central Highlands.
