At the ceremony, Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc said that by 2024, 100% of the province's communes will meet new rural standards; of which 55% will meet advanced standards and 15% will meet model standards. Average income per capita will reach 73.21 million VND/year, an increase of nearly 5.5 times compared to 2010. The transportation, healthcare,education , irrigation, culture and sports systems in rural areas will be invested in synchronously and modernly.
"Building new rural areas is not only a revolution in infrastructure but also a great step forward in the thinking, vision and action of the entire political system, demonstrating that the Party's will meets the people's wishes," the Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee emphasized.
Ninh Binh is also a pioneer in the models of "model new rural commune associated with tourism", "digital transformation in agriculture", developing OCOP products and rural tourism.
In the coming period, Ninh Binh province aims to build an advanced, exemplary new rural area associated with sustainable development, a millennium heritage urban area and become a centrally-governed city.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly affirmed: Ninh Binh is honored to be one of the 9 localities recognized by the Prime Minister for completing the task of building new rural areas. These achievements are evidence of the participation of the entire political system, maximizing the role of the people as the main subject, and at the same time clearly demonstrating the unique identity of the ancient capital, linking economic-cultural development with heritage preservation.
With a renewed rural appearance, synchronous infrastructure; the material and spiritual life of the people is increasingly improved; the model of "village street", "model garden; green fence; flower road" becomes a vivid symbol of creativity and sustainability, Ninh Binh continues to affirm itself as a bright spot in the country.
In particular, the announcement ceremony took place just one day after the National Assembly passed the Resolution on the arrangement of provincial administrative units, further highlighting the historical significance, as Ninh Binh, Ha Nam, and Nam Dinh were all the first provinces to reach the new rural finish line before the merger.

Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh expects: The new development space will open up many opportunities for Ninh Binh to promote its internal strength, regional linkages, develop ecological agriculture, civilized farmers, and modern rural areas. The journey of building new rural areas is a journey without an end.
