Over the past 5 years, the patriotic emulation movement of the Red Cross Society of Soc Trang province has developed strongly and extensively, closely linked to the practical life and socio -economic development programs of the province. Movements such as "Humanitarian Tet", "Support to school", "Humanitarian market", "Each organization, each individual associated with a humanitarian address" ... have really spread, brought practical results, contributed positively to social security work, hunger eradication and poverty reduction, people's health care, natural disaster response and promoted humanitarian spirit in the community.
Through emulation movements, the whole association has mobilized social resources with a total value of more than 128 billion VND, effectively assisting hundreds of thousands of people in difficult circumstances. Tens of thousands of blood units were donated, hundreds of houses were built, tens of thousands of meals, gifts, scholarships were given to people and poor students... all demonstrating the association's increasingly clear and solid role as a bridge and humanitarian coordinator in society. Over the years, the movements have brought this work to every home, linked to each person and each specific task, contributing to promoting the movement "Industry does humanitarian work, every family does humanitarian work, every person does humanitarian work". In particular, through emulation movements, many typical and advanced collectives and individuals have emerged, many shining examples of compassion, dedication and creativity in association work.

Successfully implementing the patriotic emulation movement to build the association from 2020 - 2025 is a stepping stone and premise for the entire Soc Trang Provincial Red Cross Association to launch a patriotic emulation movement to build a strong association in the next 5 years, period 2025 - 2030 with the goal of "Focusing on building and developing the Soc Trang Provincial Red Cross Association to be strong in quality and ensure quantity; promoting the intelligence and effectiveness of each member of the Executive Committee at each level and mobilizing the active participation of the association's forces. Strive to have more typical advanced collectives and examples of good people - good deeds in the association's humanitarian activities".
Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Van Khoi acknowledged and praised the spirit of solidarity, responsibility, initiative and creativity of all cadres, members and volunteers. The Association has played a good role as a core, bridge and coordinator in humanitarian activities, thereby spreading many examples of good people, good deeds and meaningful and practical movements clearly demonstrating the profound humanitarian spirit, making an important contribution to the social security work of the province. In the new period, in order for the patriotic emulation movement associated with the humanitarian activities of the Red Cross Association to become increasingly practical and effective, comrade Nguyen Van Khoi requested that all levels of the Association carefully prepare conditions to arrange the organizational structure, creating a solid foundation for the Association to better promote its core role in humanitarian and charitable work. Continue to promote patriotic emulation movements associated with two major campaigns "Good people, good deeds - Joining hands to build a compassionate community", "Each organization, each individual is associated with a humanitarian address" and hope that each cadre and member of the association will continue to promote their role and responsibility in propaganda work, mobilizing organizations and individuals to respond to humanitarian and charitable activities, actively participating in patriotic emulation movements launched by the association at all levels.
At the conference, delegates also listened to reports from individuals and organizations that have made many contributions to the activities and movements of the Red Cross in recent times.
On this occasion, 7 collectives and 28 individuals were awarded certificates of merit by the Provincial People's Committee for their contributions and contributions to social security work in Soc Trang province, period 2020 - 2025. The Provincial Red Cross Society also awarded certificates of merit to 18 individuals for their contributions to social humanitarian activities, period 2020 - 2025.
