Organizing the National Excellent Student Selection Exam on December 25 and 26

The Ministry of Education and Training has just issued an official dispatch on the organization of the National High School Excellent Student Examination for the 2025-2026 school year. Accordingly, the Examination Council will open on December 24, hold a meeting of the Examination Council, gather candidates to disseminate the Examination Regulations, and then, the official examination sessions will take place on December 25 and 26.

Specifically, December 25: Written exams in Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Literature, History, Geography, English, Russian, French, Chinese, Japanese and computer programming exam for Information Technology.

December 26: Written exams in Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology; Speaking exams in English, Russian, French, Chinese, Japanese and computer programming exam in Information Technology.

Exam paper cutting time in the exam room is 7:50 am. The exam start time of each session is 8:00 am.

The Ministry of Education and Training said that the exam content follows the General Education Program issued with Circular 32/2018/TT-BGDDT, amended and supplemented by Circular 13/2022/TT-BGDDT and Circular 17/2025/TT-BGDDT. For foreign language exams: Russian, French, Chinese, Japanese will follow the current General Education Program and Official Dispatch 4171/BGDDT-GDTrH of the Ministry of Education and Training guiding the implementation of the specialized program for specialized subjects at high school level.

The Examination Councils will open on December 24 and will organize mock speaking tests for candidates in Foreign Language subjects.

Exam results are expected to be announced on January 21, 2026.
