The art and political program "Triumph Song" takes place at 8:00 p.m. on April 25 at the Hanoi Opera House.
Attending the program were members of the Party Central Committee: Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, Editor-in-Chief of Communist Magazine Hoang Trung Dung, VOV General Director Do Tien Sy, along with representatives of leaders of ministries, branches, central units, VOV leaders and audiences nationwide watching live as well as via media platforms.
With 3 parts "Hanoi hears the news of victory", "Marching to Saigon", "The country after reunification", the program not only looks back at the past historical journey but also conveys the spirit of construction, integration and strong innovation of Vietnam in the new era.
One of the highlights of the program is the emotional reenactment of two victory news bulletins broadcast on April 30 and May 1, 1975, milestones in language that have been engraved in the memories of millions of Vietnamese people like the bell of freedom and independence.
Particularly touching was the exchange with Journalist, Meritorious Artist Ha Phuong - former Head of the VOV Broadcasting Department, one of the broadcasters who worked and witnessed the special working atmosphere at the Broadcasting Room, Voice of Vietnam , No. 39 Ba Trieu Street (Hanoi) on the historic day of April 30, 1975. Although he is nearly 85 years old, the memories of the heroic days of the nation and the country are still indelible in his mind.
Meritorious Artist Hoang Tung with the new song "Dat oi no hoa" shared: "Every Vietnamese child wishes to live in peace. I want to join the singing to celebrate the day the country shines with the people".
Meritorious Artist Hoang Tung, Meritorious Artist Lan Anh and the Choir of the Vietnam National Academy of Music performed the song "Welcome to 50 years of the city shining in His name".
Nguyen Tran Trung Quan impressed with the medley "Mother loves child - Liberation of the South" and "Walking in the brilliant sky" with a modern electronic arrangement.
He shared: "I want to infuse the soul of youth into revolutionary songs but still keep its sacred spirit."
“The Triumphant Song” not only pays tribute to the past but also looks to the future. The appearance of more than 100 children in the dance performance “As if Uncle Ho were here on the day of great victory” is a vivid demonstration of that spirit – a Vietnam that is changing but does not forget its roots.
Meritorious Artist Lan Anh performed the song "Spring in Ho Chi Minh City". She emotionally shared: "This is an extremely meaningful program, not only because of its artistic value but also because of its historical depth and spirit of gratitude. When singing songs like 'Spring in Ho Chi Minh City', I clearly feel the national pride and joy of a unified spring."
Singer Dong Hung with the familiar song "Marching to Saigon".
Meritorious Artist Tan Nhan chose a deep performance style with the mashup “Forward Soldiers, Compatriots – Hanoi, Hue, Saigon”. The female artist confided: “I did not live in wartime, but when I sing, I feel proud and grateful to the previous generation who sacrificed for the independence of the Fatherland”.
“The Storm Has Risen” – a song composed at lightning speed by musician Trong Bang on the occasion of Tet Mau Than 1968 – was performed by the Oplus group with a fierce spirit, inspiring the younger generation.
The program ended with the song "Vietnam, let's continue", as a call to today's generation that the journey of building the country is still continuing.
VOV leaders presented flowers to artists participating in the program "Song of Triumph".
The echoes of the show not only echoed on stage but also spread to the hearts of the audience, making them emotional.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Huong (63 years old, Ba Dinh district), emotionally shared: "I used to listen to the news of the April 30 victory on the radio when I was a 9th grade student. Tonight, hearing that same voice again, I felt like I was reliving a historical moment that I will never forget in my life."
