The Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) policy stipulated in the Law on Environmental Protection 2020 has officially taken effect from January 1, 2024 for the recycling of products such as: Batteries, accumulators, lubricants, tires and tubes and commercial packaging.
The EPR regulation is seen as a major milestone in waste management and a boost for the recycling industry, create a solid legal basis for implementation; help businesses clearly understand their responsibilities and have specific directions in recycling activities, promoting the circular economy .
However, after a year of the policy being put into practice, many problems and shortcomings have arisen and need to be resolved by the authorities, and businesses and people need to understand and engage more effectively. To clarify these issues and have a direction for the future, TN&MT Newspaper in collaboration with the National EPR Office and Coca-Cola Vietnam Company organized an "Online Seminar: Overview of EPR implementation".
The seminar was attended by Mr. Phan Tuan Hung, Director of the Legal Department ( Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment ), Director of the National EPR Council Office and Mr. Le Anh, Director of Sustainable Development, Duy Tan Recycled Plastics Company.
The talk show will be broadcast live on the Electronic Newspaper: baotainguyenmoitruong.vn and on the Youtube channel of TN&MT Television at 3:00 p.m. on December 26, 2024.
