According to schedule, on the evening of June 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin will arrive in Hanoi , beginning a state visit to Vietnam from June 19-20.

Russian President Vladimir Putin paid a state visit to Vietnam at the invitation of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. The visit took place on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on the basic principles of Vietnam-Russia friendship (1994-2024) and towards the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 2025. President Vladimir Putin's state visit to Vietnam is a foreign activity of special significance. President Vladimir Putin was born on October 7, 1952, in Leningrad, now Saint Petersburg (Russia). In March 2024, he was re-elected President of the Russian Federation for a fifth term.
