The Winter Sun movie project has just had a cast introduction. The movie gathers a main cast of young faces. The male lead role was assigned to Steven Nguyen. He revealed that he is ready to step out of his comfort zone, temporarily putting aside the image of a "Vietnamese action movie god" to become a romantic male lead.
The two female leads in the film are Trinh My Duyen and Quynh Luong . Taking on two "difficult to swallow" characters, both have to overcome certain barriers.
Trinh My Duyen shared that this was the first project she and Quynh Luong worked together on. The scene she remembers the most was the scene where she slapped the character Dan Thanh played by Quynh Luong.
"At first, I didn't dare slap Quynh Luong because in real life we were close friends. Then I had to put myself in the character in the movie to put my hatred into the slap. In the next filming, I slapped Quynh Luong until my fake fingernails fell off. However, after finishing the scene, both Quynh Luong and I were very happy because we had completed the scene very realistically," the actress shared.
Quynh Luong and Trinh My Duyen have a close relationship in real life.
As for Quynh Luong, she affirmed that the character Dan Thanh in Winter Sun is a special role in her acting career. “At this stage, I am still learning because I am just an amateur actor, never having been through any training. I hope to learn more before daring to receive the love that the audience gives me,” she shared.
Quynh Luong also shared that there was a lot of pressure when filming the kissing scene with Steven Nguyen. That's why both of them tried to do it quickly. The actress confided: "The scenes with Steven were the first days I participated in this project. I didn't have much time to interact with Steven outside. When filming, we weren't close yet, so I just wanted to film quickly, film concisely to make it the best and not have to reshoot many times."
In addition, Steven Nguyen said that to perform the kissing scene with Quynh Luong, he fasted for half a day, hoping his body wouldn't smell out of respect for his co-star.

Dai Nghia is considered one of the most versatile actors, but Winter Sun is one of the challenges for the actor when transforming into the role of a villainous boss. Feeling moved when watching the first footage at the premiere, Dai Nghia said that his role is interesting, requiring the actor to express many nuances.
Meanwhile, artist Hoang Trinh faced a lot of pressure when acting with Dai Nghia. Reviewing the footage, the actress could not help but be moved. To transform into the character, Hoang Trinh considered Dai Nghia as her real husband. She even burst into tears when imagining her husband's serious illness in real life to get the emotions in the film. It is known that Hoang Trinh's real-life husband is currently being treated for lung cancer. She became the pillar of the whole family to encourage and take care of her husband.
“In the film, there is a scene where my husband Dai Nghia passed away. I cried so much in this scene because I imagined that this was my husband in real life. I thought that I myself would probably have to accept those things soon. That’s why my emotions kept rising, so I didn’t need to act too much in that scene,” actress Hoang Trinh confided with emotion.
