For the Southern region, 71 authors submitted 296 works, demonstrating the rich creativity of the photography community. Ho Chi Minh City is the locality with the most outstanding authors, along with An Giang, Ca Mau, Can Tho, Dong Nai, Dong Thap, Lam Dong, Tay Ninh and Vinh Long - all depicting the unique features of Southern life and heritage.

This year’s competition saw a wide range of ages. The oldest was born in 1952, demonstrating a passion for photography that has endured. Meanwhile, the youngest author, born in 2009, brought a youthful and promising perspective to the season.

From 1,034 entries, the jury selected the best entries for the final round and 81 entries for exhibition at the award ceremony. More than 30 entries were awarded in two categories: Gen Z Award and The awards are open to photographers of any age, with each category comprising 1 Gold medal, 2 Silver medals, 3 Bronze medals and 10 Consolation Prizes.

A special highlight of this year’s season is the participation of Gen Zi San – a group of FPT University media students. The participation of young people has helped the media activities become more creative, closer and create a strong influence on the student community and young people.

As the official media coordinator, Gen Zi San supports the development of identity, content and promotion of the contest on multiple platforms. Thanks to that, the message "Touch the heritage, Feel the uniqueness" is conveyed in a modern way while still maintaining cultural depth. This is also a testament to the positive shift in bringing heritage closer to the Gen Z generation - who will play an important role in the journey of preserving and promoting national cultural values.

This year's contest is launched with the message "Touch Heritage, Feel Your Own Style", encouraging authors to explore the uniqueness of Vietnamese heritage through an emotional personal perspective. In addition, 81 works from the exhibition are being displayed at Ton Duc Thang Museum (5 Ton Duc Thang, Saigon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) along with activities of the Ho Chi Minh City Cultural Heritage Association to celebrate Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day, from November 22 to November 30, 2025.
