On the morning of April 21, in Ho Chi Minh City, General Secretary To Lam met with veteran revolutionary cadres, meritorious people, and exemplary policy families on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

Attending the event were former President Nguyen Minh Triet, former President Truong Tan Sang, former Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, former National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, former leaders of the Party, State, Ho Chi Minh City, veteran revolutionary cadres, Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, and representatives of policy families from 22 southern provinces (from Ninh Thuan and below).

Also attending were Politburo members, Party Central Committee Secretaries: Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission; Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Head of the Central Inspection Commission; Mr. Phan Dinh Trac, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission; Mr. Do Van Chien, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; General Phan Van Giang, Minister of National Defense; General Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security ; Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen...

Previously, General Secretary To Lam and Party and State leaders had a meeting with veteran revolutionary cadres, meritorious people, and policy families in the Northern and Central provinces, receiving many enthusiastic and responsible opinions for the cause of national development.

The meeting is part of a series of activities by General Secretary To Lam in Ho Chi Minh City on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of national reunification.

At the meeting, historical witnesses and heroes of the armed forces shared their feelings during the days of national reunification, and expressed their support for the Party's major policies in recent times such as anti-corruption, streamlining the apparatus, developing science and technology, and bringing the country into a new era of development.
