Regiment 917 is part of the combat formation of Division 370 (Air Defense - Air Force), with the central political mission of combat readiness and combat; flight training, ensuring flight safety; training pilots (flight crews), pilot students of the Air Force Officer School and international pilot students. In addition, the regiment also performs the tasks of flying special aircraft, transport, search and rescue, natural disasters, floods, fire prevention and fighting, and emergency when ordered. With the attention, leadership and direction of the Standing Committee, Party Committee, and Command of Division 370; and the guidance, support and facilitation of superior professional agencies, in the first 6 months of 2023, Party work, political work and some staff work contents of Regiment 917 have successfully completed the contents according to the set program and plan.

Accordingly, on the basis of thoroughly grasping the resolutions, directives and instructions of the superiors, the Party Committee and the Regiment Commander have led and directed the regular maintenance of information and propaganda regimes, timely orienting the troops' ideology; well implementing the regime and operating routine of the emulation group; effectively implementing the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws to the Party committees, affiliated Party organizations and all cadres and Party members according to regulations.

Party committees and Party cells have well implemented the principle of democratic centralism, strictly maintained the Party's activities and regime, and Party days; maintained and implemented the Party's self-criticism and criticism regime. Party and political activities in key tasks such as combat readiness, flight training, ensuring flight safety; and participated in situational training exercises with Military Regions, Corps, and Service Branches... have also been carried out well.

At the same time, the Party Committee and the Regiment Commander also lead and direct the strict maintenance of regular combat duty forces according to regulations; regularly practice and inspect combat readiness plans; carry out well the work of forecasting, notifying, and closely coordinating flights in accordance with regulations for training flights and regular and unscheduled mission flights, ensuring absolute safety.

Training work was organized and implemented seriously and synchronously, in accordance with the instructions from above; maintained in accordance with the correct order, ensuring quality and safety. Units in the entire regiment proactively built the environmental landscape, ensuring "green, clean, beautiful" in accordance with the plan to build a strong and comprehensive unit "Exemplary, typical"; strictly managed the reserve mobilization resources, coordinated with localities in the work of checking, grasping the resources, arranging, fully supplementing the reserve mobilization quota, dismissing and appointing reserve soldiers in accordance with regulations.

On behalf of the inspection team, Major General Tran Trung Thiet, Deputy Director of the Organization Department, General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, acknowledged and commended the outstanding results in the Party and political work activities of Regiment 917. At the same time, he requested the Party Committee and the Regiment Commander to seriously learn from the limitations and shortcomings pointed out by the inspection team; continue to lead, direct, organize and thoroughly grasp the requirements, tasks, instructions and plans to the Party committees, subordinate Party organizations and all cadres and Party members, and successfully complete the contents of Party work, political work and staff work in 2023 and the following years.
