Summary of the Emulation Cluster of Social Organizations in 2024

On the morning of December 18, in Hanoi , the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front held a conference to summarize the Emulation Cluster of Social Organizations in 2024. Attending the conference were Ms. Nguyen Quynh Lien, member of the Presidium, Head of the Committee for Democracy, Supervision and Social Criticism of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

The emulation cluster of social organizations includes 10 members: Vietnam Red Cross Society ; Vietnam Association of the Elderly; Vietnam Association of Former Youth Volunteers; Vietnam Youth Union; Vietnam Association of the Blind; Vietnam Association for Relief of Disabled Children; Vietnam Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin; Vietnam Association for Truong Son - Ho Chi Minh Trail Traditions; Vietnam Association for the Protection of Disabled and Orphans; Vietnam Association for Protection of Children's Rights.

In 2024, the emulation work of the Emulation Cluster of Social Organizations was closely directed by the leaders of member associations in the Cluster, proposing solutions to improve emulation effectiveness, closely following the political tasks, the actual situation of the association and the locality, achieving comprehensive results, well implementing the emulation programs and targets of 2024, exceeding many targets. The emulation cluster has had many good models, initiatives, new and creative ways of doing things, bringing practical results. The quality and effectiveness of the emulation movement in 2024 were maintained and improved.

Mr. Ngo Sach Thuc, Chairman of the Vietnam Association for the Relief of Disabled Children, spoke at the Conference.

Typically, the Vietnam Association for the Relief of Disabled Children has developed two key programs to mobilize more resources to care for disabled children, develop members and organization bases, resulting in over 17 billion VND mobilized; over 36,783 children were examined and given free medicine; 2,357 children received surgery, orthopedics, and motor disability correction. The Association has organized 55 vocational training classes for disabled youth with 600 students.

Promoting their role as members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the associations have actively monitored and provided social criticism, participated in building a strong Party and government, represented and protected the legitimate rights and interests of their members, thereby contributing to creating social consensus, stabilizing economic development, developing production and stabilizing people's lives, actively mobilizing resources to support, help and care for members facing difficulties, the poor, and those affected by epidemics and natural disasters.

In particular, the Vietnam Youth Union has implemented activities to advise and criticize policies on the implementation of laws related to youth. The Union at all levels has organized many activities for youth to participate in social criticism; coordinated participation in monitoring and social criticism of draft documents on the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; fought, condemned and opposed violations of the law through the forums "Youth with the law", "Law and youth life".

Speaking at the Conference, on behalf of the Presidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, Ms. Nguyen Quynh Lien, Head of the Committee for Democracy, Supervision and Social Criticism of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, acknowledged and commended the outstanding achievements of the Emulation Cluster of Social Organizations in 2024; affirmed that the member associations of the Emulation Cluster have made efforts, focused on implementing key tasks, taking care of union members, joining hands with the Vietnam Fatherland Front to carry out other meaningful emulation movements and campaigns such as contributing funds to build Great Solidarity houses for the poor, supporting people in the Northern provinces to overcome the damage caused by storm No. 3...

Appreciating the proactiveness and positivity of the Emulation Cluster of Social Organizations, Ms. Nguyen Quynh Lien hopes that the Emulation Cluster will enter 2025 with a new mindset and enthusiasm, spreading humanistic values from the activities of member associations in society, strengthening mobilization, attracting more and more participation of members, union members and the community, accompanying the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front to continue to care for, support, and ensure the lives of policy beneficiaries, the poor, and the disadvantaged in society; continue to strive to successfully complete the directions and tasks set out in the coming year.

Mr. Ngo Sach Thuc presented the flag of the Head of the Emulation Cluster of Social Organizations to the Vietnam Association for the Protection of the Disabled and Orphans.

At the Conference, the Emulation Cluster of Social Organizations announced the results of emulation work in 2024; unanimously honored the Vietnam Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities and Orphans as the Head of the Emulation Cluster of Social Organizations in 2025.
