Summary and award ceremony of the preliminary round of the "Reading Culture Ambassador" Contest of Vinh Long province in 2024

On the morning of July 30, 2024, at the Memorial Area of Chairman of the Council of Ministers Pham Hung, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Departmentof Education and Training organized the summary and award ceremony of the preliminary round of the "Reading Culture Ambassador" Contest of Vinh Long province in 2024.

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Pham Minh Hoang - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Nguyen Thi Ngoc Bich - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training; Members of the Organizing Committee, the Jury; Representatives of the Department of Education of districts, towns and cities; School principals, homeroom teachers, parents and award-winning students.

Before the award ceremony began, delegates attended the incense offering ceremony for Chairman of the Council of Ministers Pham Hung and learned about his life and revolutionary career at the memorial site.

The Organizing Committee took souvenir photos with the winning students.

According to the Organizing Committee of the preliminary round of the "Reading Culture Ambassador" Contest in Vinh Long province in 2024, it took place from April 14, 2024 to May 14, 2024. After 30 days of implementation, a total of 1,599 entries were received (including 30 videos ). Specifically: Primary schools included 50 schools with 597 entries and 02 videos; Secondary schools included 34 schools with 582 entries and 01 video; High schools included 11 schools with 330 entries and 05 videos. Secondary and high schools included 07 schools with 90 entries and 22 videos.

Among the entries, there are many entries of good quality, creativity, high aesthetics and careful investment. The sharing and composition are full of emotion, the planning directions are very thoughtful and appropriate, showing that books and reading culture are still extremely close companions for students in the era of strong information technology development. Notably, this year the Organizing Committee received 01 entry in Braille (Braille) from 01 visually impaired student.

As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded 02 First Prizes, 02 Second Prizes, 05 Third Prizes for High School; 02 First Prizes; 03 Second Prizes; 05 Third Prizes for Middle School; 02 First Prizes, 03 Second Prizes, 06 Third Prizes for Primary School; 05 Thematic Prizes and 02 Collective Prizes with many contestants participating in the contest for the Department of Education and Training of Vinh Long City and Nguyen Binh Khiem High School for the Gifted. At the same time, the Organizing Committee selected 06 high-prize winning entries in the preliminary round to send to the final round held in Hanoi./.
