Axios news agency on January 28 quoted three informed sources as saying that the US transferred about 90 Patriot air defense systems from Israel to Poland this week for later transfer to Ukraine.

A spokesman for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office confirmed to Axios that a Patriot system had been returned to the US, adding "we don't know if it was transferred to Ukraine."
Meanwhile, a Pentagon spokesman said: "We have seen the reports but have no information to provide at this time."
Meanwhile, on January 28, the Israeli Prime Minister's Office announced that US President Donald Trump had invited Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to a meeting at the White House on February 4.
"Prime Minister Netanyahu is the first foreign leader invited to the White House during US President Trump's second term," the Israeli Prime Minister's Office said in a statement.
The Trump-Netanyahu meeting comes after the US president has repeatedly claimed credit for achieving the ongoing ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, after months of fruitless negotiations.
