US President Donald Trump declares he will "win" Harvard

(Dan Tri) - On May 26, US President Donald Trump affirmed that he would win the confrontation with Harvard University, and once again threatened to withdraw aid from the university.

"I am considering transferring $3 billion of Harvard's endowment to vocational schools across the United States. It would be a great investment for America, and something that is desperately needed right now," Trump wrote on the social network Truth Social.

The US President also mentioned again about "eliminating" foreign students studying at Harvard. This is one of the main groups of students contributing to the "financial health" of the oldest and richest university in the US.

Mr. Trump said he is still waiting for Harvard to provide a list of its international students and records of some “problematic” foreign students. According to Mr. Trump, Harvard’s cooperation in providing this information is a necessary transparency, after the US government has spent billions of dollars funding the school over the years.

The information provided by the school will be used by authorities in the process of identifying extremists and troublemakers who "should not be allowed to return to the United States."

Harvard University has now filed two lawsuits against US authorities in federal court, both related to the school's frozen funding and its ban on recruiting international students.

On the social network Truth Social, US President Donald Trump emphasized: "Don't worry, because in the end, the Government will win!".

On May 22, the administration of US President Donald Trump issued an order banning Harvard University from recruiting international students, however, a federal judge temporarily suspended the ban.

The US government is now "furious" with Harvard, which has trained 162 Nobel laureates, because the university refuses to let the government interfere in its internal affairs, as well as its admission and recruitment processes.

The US government is tightening control over the highereducation system in the US to restore public discipline, as well as adjust the application of policies to promote diversity, equity and inclusion at schools.

Before banning Harvard from recruiting international students, US President Donald Trump froze all federal funding to Harvard, totaling $9 billion.
