On the afternoon of March 19, Toyota Motor Vietnam held a ceremony to launch the 700,000th vehicle. Attending the ceremony were comrades: Dang Xuan Phong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Tran Duy Dong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of a number of departments, branches, sectors and localities in the province.

With 700,000 vehicles, Toyota Vietnam has become the company with the highest total production output in Vietnam. This is an important milestone in the history of formation and development towards the 30th anniversary of Toyota's presence in Vietnam (September 2025), demonstrating the company's efforts in promoting domestic production according to the Government 's direction, thereby contributing to the development of the automobile industry in particular and the country in general.
In 1995, Toyota Vietnam factory began construction in Vinh Phuc and started operating in 1996 with an average output of only 2 cars/day, equivalent to 212 cars/year. Up to now, the output has reached more than 108 cars/day, equivalent to 27,000 cars/year.
In May 1999, Toyota was proud to be the first automobile manufacturer in Vietnam to be granted ISO 14001 certification on Environmental Management System and has continuously maintained and improved it to this day. Toyota Vietnam also became the first automobile manufacturer to have a complete production process including 5 stages of stamping, welding, painting, assembly and quality control.
General Director of Toyota Vietnam Automobile Company Keita Nakano presented Vinh Phuc province with the 700,000th car.
During 30 years of operation, strategic production and assembly models such as Vios, Innova, Fortuner, Veloz Cross... have always been on the list of best-selling cars on the market, contributing to Toyota's success in Vietnam.
In addition, Toyota Vietnam has created jobs for more than 1,500 employees in a safe and professional working environment, always focusing on sustainable development and enhancing human values. Thanks to these efforts, Toyota Vietnam is proud to be the only manufacturing company outside of Japan to receive the Good Factory Award 2024 from the Japan Management Association.
One of Toyota Vietnam's commitments to contributing to the development of the automobile industry is to increase the localization rate through manufacturing components right at the factory, attracting leading suppliers to invest in Vietnam, and searching for and developing domestic suppliers.
Currently, the list of Toyota suppliers has reached 60, including 13 Vietnamese suppliers, bringing the total number of localized products to over 1,000 products of all kinds.
By the end of February 2025, Toyota had expanded its dealer/branch system to 86 in 49 provinces and cities, with more than 990,000 cars received by customers and more than 20 million customers using services.
Along with production and business, Toyota Vietnam strives to become a good citizen in the local community through implementing many large-scale activities and programs with profound social significance in many fields such as traffic safety, education - training, human resource development, environmental protection, culture - society... The total amount of contributions to Toyota's social responsibility activities reached more than 31 million USD.

Congratulating Toyota Motor Vietnam on the production of the 700,000th vehicle and the achievements after 30 years of presence in Vinh Phuc, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Duy Dong requested the company to continue to closely follow the policies and orientations of the Vietnamese Government for the automobile industry and Vietnam's commitment when participating in COP26, gradually having a suitable roadmap to convert to the hybrid and electric vehicle revolution, towards the production of smart, environmentally friendly means of transport.
The company will soon start building a new headquarters in Vinh Phuc as planned, and research and expand the scale of investment in production and business for new and strategic car lines. Coordinate with departments, branches and sectors to implement Plan No. 34 of the Provincial People's Committee on cooperation and support for domestic enterprises in the field of automobile support industry...
