Bac Lieu City: Opening of the 1st Southern Traditional Cake Festival

On the afternoon of February 18, the People's Committee of Bac Lieu City held the opening ceremony of the 1st Southern Traditional Cake Festival, combined with a fair to promote tourism, trade, and OCOP products of Bac Lieu City in 2025. Attending the opening ceremony was Mr. Ngo Vu Thang - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Accordingly, the Festival takes place from February 18 to 25 on 30/4 Street (Ward 3, Bac Lieu City), with a scale of 209 booths from the provinces of the Mekong Delta and districts, towns and cities in the province, with activities of displaying traditional cakes, displaying OCOP products, displaying images of Bac Lieu tourism combined with commercial booths; organizing nightly art performances, folk games associated with the series of activities of the festival such as: demonstration of making traditional cakes, displaying and giving samples...

Traditional cake stalls attract many diners.

This is an opportunity to introduce and promote local specialties of Bac Lieu, introduce tourism to Bac Lieu city, create a space for entertainment and recreation for people inside and outside the province to come to Bac Lieu city.
