Chau Doc City summarizes the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army

On the morning of May 14, the Military Service Council of Chau Doc City held a conference to review the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army; performing the duty of joining the People's Public Security in 2025; and deploying the task of selecting and calling citizens to join the army in 2026. On this occasion, many collectives and individuals were awarded by the City People's Committee.

In 2025, the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army; performing the duty of joining the People's Police always receives the attention and timely direction of Party committees and local authorities. Departments and organizations coordinate to carry out the task, the core role is the Military Command and the City Police. The total number of male citizens aged 17 years old in the year accounted for 0.7% of the population, with 100% of the registration. The city organized 36 consultation points, with about 1,415 participants, ensuring publicity and democracy to create consensus among the people. In 2025, the call for military service reached 100% of the assigned target.

The expected military recruitment target for 2026 assigned to the National Defense and Police will increase by 5% compared to 2025. Priority will be given to selecting citizens who have graduated from vocational secondary schools, vocational training, colleges, and universities that the military needs to use, such as: medicine, information technology, driving, auto repair, electricians, mechanics, etc.
