Some important proposals include the establishment of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety; the organizational structure of the administrative apparatus, public service units under the People's Committee of Thu Duc City; criteria, standards, and norms for the number of cadres and civil servants in communes, wards, and towns.
The meeting is also expected to approve a list of investment projects to upgrade, expand and modernize existing road works using BOT (build-operate-transfer) contracts. At the same time, it will approve the investment policy for a number of projects to build, renovate and expand schools: Hung Vuong High School, Trung Vuong High School and Vo Truong Toan High School.
In addition, some other contents are considered such as: policies to support the linkage of production and consumption of agricultural products in the area; support for the cost of treating refractive eye defects for citizens who voluntarily register to join the military service, the obligation to join the people's police; specific prices of public irrigation products and services in 2023...
Regarding the public investment sector, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council considered and approved the adjustment of the medium-term public investment capital plan for the 2021-2025 period; adjusting the public investment capital plan from the local budget in 2023 from VND 46,038 billion to VND 53,894 billion.
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has also just submitted a proposal for the 2024 public investment plan with a total capital demand of nearly VND60,000 billion. Specifically, for local budget capital, investors and competent agencies have registered VND55,225 billion, of which projects eligible for consideration and capital allocation are nearly VND35,000 billion, the rest are carrying out investment procedures. Particularly for central capital, Ho Chi Minh City is expected to need VND4,355 billion to implement projects such as An Phu intersection, expanding National Highway 50, Ring Road 3, and renovating Tham Luong - Ben Cat - Rach Nuoc Len canal.
