The 31st World Travel Awards for Asia and Oceania took place on the evening of September 3 in Manila, Philippines.
The World Travel Awards (WTA) was established in 1993 and is a prestigious award recognized worldwide and is considered the "Oscar of the tourism industry".
In which, Vietnam won the awards for Asia's Leading Destination , Asia's Leading Heritage Destination, and Asia's Leading Nature Destination in 2024.
Major cities such as the capital Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City also won a series of awards. Hanoi won the awards for Asia's Leading City Destination and Asia's Leading Resort Destination. Ho Chi Minh City won the awards for Asia's Leading Convention and Exhibition Destination and Asia's Leading Festival and Event Destination 2024.
In addition to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, several other provinces and cities were also honored at the World Travel Awards. Hoi An won Asia's Leading Cultural City Destination. Ha Nam won Asia's Leading Emerging Destination. Ha Giang and Moc Chau won Asia's Leading Local Cultural Destination and Asia's Leading Natural Destination, respectively.
In addition, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism won the award for Asia's Leading City Tourism Management Agency. The Quang Nam Tourism Council won the award for Asia's Leading Local Tourism Management Agency in 2024 .

In addition, Vietnam's leading hotels and resorts such as InterContinental, Capella Hanoi, Hotel des Arts Saigon, JW Marriott... also appeared on the list of winners at the 2024 World Travel Awards.
