With the capacity to handle tens of millions of TEUs per year, Busan Port plays a strategic role as a gateway to Northeast Asia. Strengthening connections with this port is expected to form a direct shipping route between Vietnam and Korea, contributing to shortening transportation time, reducing costs for businesses, and expanding the export market of Vietnamese goods to the world.

During the tour, the delegation visited the Northern Port area - which handles a large volume of import and export goods and plays an important transit role for international shipping routes. Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Investment and Industrial Development Corporation (Becamex IDC) Pham Ngoc Thuan said that Ho Chi Minh City is promoting the development of goods through Cai Mep Port and hopes that the project connecting with Busan Port will soon help achieve this goal.
