Ho Chi Minh City opens Nguyen Hue Flower Street for the Lunar New Year

On the evening of January 27 (the 28th day of the Lunar New Year), Nguyen Hue Flower Street for the Year of the Snake 2025 with the theme "Brocade and flower mountains and rivers, happy spring in peace" officially opened.

Attending the event were Politburo member, Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai.

Before the opening ceremony, Party and State leaders and delegates respectfully offered flowers in memory of President Ho Chi Minh at the President Ho Chi Minh Monument Park, District 1.

The opening of Nguyen Hue Flower Street is also the opening activity for major programs, events and festivals in 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City as well as the whole country such as: 95th Anniversary of the Founding of the Party, 80th Anniversary of the Founding of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South, National Reunification... In order to convey the message of celebrating the New Year, opening the important events of 2025, the area of ​​President Ho Chi Minh's statue is designed to be solemn, meaningful, majestic and warm.

The Flower Street space continues to be decorated with unique flower arrangements and displays from Consulates General of countries in Ho Chi Minh City.

10 flower art decoration booths, introducing the culture of each country including: USA, Netherlands, Laos, Italy, Indonesia, Korea, Russia, China, Thailand and the UK. In the 5th consecutive year accompanying Nguyen Hue Flower Street, the collection of flower art works of the Consulates General creates a fresh charm, spreading fragrance and color.

After the opening ceremony, people and tourists visited and experienced Nguyen Hue Flower Street.

With 3 thematic segments: Solidarity, Transformation and Development , Nguyen Hue Flower Street Tet At Ty 2025 recreates the historical journey of the Vietnamese people, from the years of arduous struggle for independence and freedom to the period of integration and strong development. The works here carry the message of solidarity, overcoming difficulties and the aspiration to build a strong Vietnam.

Nguyen Hue Flower Street Tet At Ty 2025 will open to serve people and tourists until 9:00 p.m. on February 2, 2025 (the 5th day of Tet).
