Ho Chi Minh City will organize a record display of 10,500 drones on the evening of April 30, 2025.

According to the plan submitted by the Department of Culture and Sports to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, the fireworks display will take place from 9:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. at about 30 locations on the Saigon River, District 1 and Thu Duc City. At the same time, 10,500 drones will be mobilized to create an impressive performance. The organizers also filed a request to set a Vietnamese record for the number of drones flying at the same time, far surpassing the level of more than 4,000 that had been performed in some localities before.

In addition, the event "National Reunification Day" will take place at Nguyen Hue walking street, Saigon River area from Ba Son bridge to Nha Rong wharf, starting at 7pm with a series of art performances and water sports.

In addition to the main programs, the Department of Culture and Sports proposed organizing many accompanying events such as "Ho Chi Minh City Photography Road", Olympic Running Day for the health of the whole people with a scale of 4,000 people, and sports performances with the participation of 1,400 people.

In April and May, Ho Chi Minh City will also organize a colorful festival on the evenings of April 19 and 26 and May 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31. The event will take place from 7pm to 9:30pm at the square in front of the City People's Committee, Nguyen Hue walking street and the Saigon River. Activities include a performance of 1,000 - 2,000 drones and fireworks displays funded by social funding.

In addition, the festival also offers many special programs such as symphony performances, 3D light mapping, art music and dance on the walking street, amateur music performances on the river, flower lantern boat parades, sailboats, along with water jet flights, Flyboard surfing, paddle boarding and paragliding, creating a vibrant festival space.
