At the reception, Secretary of the City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang affirmed that in recent times, Vietnam and Singapore in general, as well as Ho Chi Minh City and Singapore in particular, have had a comprehensive, effective and increasingly developing cooperative relationship. A typical example is the Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) model, which is considered a symbol of success in bilateral cooperation. The Secretary said that VSIP is currently moving towards the "VSIP 2.0" model, with a green and sustainable development orientation, in line with the world 's development trends and Vietnam's orientation.

Referring to the socio -economic development goals of Ho Chi Minh City in the coming time, Secretary of the City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang said that the City is building synchronous and detailed development strategies in all areas. He highly appreciated Singapore's development experience, especially in urban planning, governance and financial center development, and expressed his hope that the two sides will continue to strengthen cooperation, especially in building an international financial center model - a field in which Singapore is considered a successful model in the region.

Expressing his honor when meeting with Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang, Ambassador Jaya Ratnam expressed his deep gratitude to the Ho Chi Minh City government for their support and close cooperation during his tenure. He emphasized that there is still much room for expanding cooperation between Vietnam and Singapore, especially in projects of national significance such as VSIP and the electricity cooperation project, in which Ho Chi Minh City plays an important role in the implementation process.

Regarding the field of human resource training, Ambassador Jaya Ratnam said that in recent years, Singapore has supported the training of about 22,000 Vietnamese officials, contributing to improving management and operational capacity. He expressed his hope that in the coming time, Singapore will continue to coordinate with Ho Chi Minh City to organize specialized training courses, suitable to the development needs and international integration orientation of the City.
