Ho Chi Minh City recruits the first 166 additional quotas for grade 10 in 2024

On July 11, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City announced additional enrollment for integrated grade 10 for the 2024-2025 school year at 9 high schools.

Specific targets are as follows:

9 high schools recruit additional integrated 10th graders.

According to the Department of Education and Training, the decision is based on the request to recruit additional students into integrated classes of schools that organize this type of class based on the comparison between the assigned quota of students in integrated classes and the actual situation of successful application submission.

Additional recruitment subjects are students who have integrated studies at secondary schools in Ho Chi Minh City or have registered to take the type 2 integrated exam.

The condition for registering for integrated supplementary admission is that the candidate does not pass any of the wishes of the integrated class of a regular school or the English specialized class according to Project 5695.

Registration time is from July 11 to 4:00 p.m. on July 15. The consideration method is based on the candidate's 3 previously registered integrated school wishes and the total integrated exam score. The Department of Education and Training will consider the scores in order from highest to lowest until the quota is full.

Candidates contact directly the secondary schools where they study and register to submit applications for admission to grade 10 for the 2024-2025 school year.

For the regular class system, after the enrollment period ends on July 13, the Department of Education and Training will base on schools that are still lacking enrollment quotas to register for additional enrollment to meet the assigned quotas in the 2024-2025 school year.

The Department will announce a list of schools with additional enrollment quotas for grade 10 and guide eligible candidates to submit their applications.

The criteria for registering for additional admission to the regular 10th grade are candidates who do not pass all 3 wishes. At the same time, candidates must have an entrance exam score higher than or equal to the standard score of the 3rd wish of the school they are applying for, not having to lower the standard score.

Candidates must ensure both of the above conditions at the same time. Candidates who refuse to enroll in their wishes are not allowed to register for additional admission.

After receiving the candidates' applications, the schools that have registered for admission according to the remaining quota will consider from high to low until the quota is met for the 2024-2025 school year.
