In the period of 2021-2025, Binh Phuoc has achieved remarkable results in digital transformation. The province was honored at the Vietnam Digital Transformation Award 2023 with the solution "Binh Phuoc Provincial Source Information System" and received the award for the category of Excellent Digital Government in 2024 from the Asia-Oceania Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO). In 2023, Binh Phuoc ranked 13th in the country in the Digital Transformation Index (DTI), with the digital awareness component index ranking first in the country.

Binh Phuoc Provincial Party Committee has issued Resolution No. 04-NQ/TU dated May 18, 2021 on digital transformation by 2025, identifying digital transformation as a great opportunity to help the province accelerate socio-economic development and unifying the viewpoint that digital transformation must be led by Party committees and authorities with the determination and cooperation of the entire political system; at the same time, it requires improving the responsibility of leaders in directing the implementation of digitalization at units and localities, using digitalization criteria to evaluate cadres annually.

Implementing digital transformation with the goal of developing all three main pillars: digital government, digital economy and digital society, Binh Phuoc persists in the goal of taking people and businesses as the center. Based on the resolution of the Provincial Party Committee, Party committees at all levels have issued specialized resolutions, plans and specific goals on digital transformation, in accordance with general criteria and requirements from local practices. The province has established community digital technology teams, with more than 100 commune-level teams, nearly 850 village-level teams, with a total of more than 5,500 members.

In inspection and monitoring programs, periodic reports on digital transformation results, the province focuses on closely and thoroughly assessing the role of Party committees, Party organizations, leaders, cadres and Party members. Binh Phuoc aims to have a digital transformation index (DTI) in the top 5 localities in the country by 2030; digital economy accounts for 30% of GRDP; the rate of people and businesses using online public services reaches over 90%; ensuring 5G coverage throughout the province and developing digital citizens, with at least 80% of the population having a digital identity. In terms of human resources, the province strives for 100% of students to have access to STEM and 100% of schools to organize digital skills training; at least 25% of leaders have expertise in science and technology...
