On August 12, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation (HCF) coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union to organize a meeting to celebrate the 45th anniversary of Thanh Da Summer Camp (1979-2024).
Over the past 45 years, Thanh Da Summer Camp has welcomed more than 136,000 children of workers, civil servants and laborers nationwide. Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation Phung Thai Quang said that the summer camp has demonstrated the vitality of a useful playground with many attractive and creative activities, focusing on promotingeducation on ethics, lifestyle, nurturing love for the homeland and country and pride in the glorious revolutionary tradition of the nation.
Summer camp is also a place to practice self-reliance, social skills, compassion, discipline, solidarity, and coordination skills through cultural and artistic activities, and group games that create impressive and unforgettable moments. In addition, the summer camp also creates conditions for children of civil servants and workers to access advanced scientific applications, creating a playground with many new nuances that attract children of all ages to participate.
The Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation added that in the coming time, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation and the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union will focus on renovating and investing in facilities to meet an important part of the accommodation needs for children during the summer. At the same time, they will continue to pay attention to investing in the content and form of organizing summer camps so that units can organize summer activities and summer camps for children with more practical activities.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 2 groups and 4 individuals; the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation awarded Certificates of Merit to individuals who have made many contributions to the Thanh Da Summer Camp activities. The Organizing Committee also launched the online Proceedings of Thanh Da Summer Camp.
