The first quarter-final of “English Window” season 2: Dramatic, attractive and emotional

(Baohatinh.vn) - The opening quarter-final match of the program "English Window" season 2 was a fierce competition between two teams: Le Van Thiem Secondary School (Duc Thinh commune) and Albert Einstein Primary, Secondary and High School (Thanh Sen ward).

The team of Le Van Thiem Secondary School (Duc Thinh commune) including members Ho Dinh Nguyen, Tran Quynh Giang and Pham Anh Khoi, competed against the team of Albert Einstein Primary, Secondary and High School (Thanh Sen ward) including Bui Tran Kim Ngan, Tran Xuan Duc and Nguyen Khanh Hang.

Right from the first round - "Quick Eyes", the audience witnessed a breathtaking score chase. Both teams showed their quickness and decisiveness when they continuously gave answers right from the first seconds. As a result, both teams answered 9/10 questions correctly. However, with a reasonable strategy and certainty in their answers, the Albert Einstein School team excellently won 35 points, while the Le Van Thiem School team temporarily ranked behind with 10 points.

In the second round - "Quick Mind", the contestants took on the challenge of presenting in English with the topic: "Improving life in the digital age - Understanding, safety, mastery". Representing Le Van Thiem Secondary School, Ho Dinh Nguyen gave a convincing presentation on the issue of cyberbullying. With clear content and fluent presentation, the team received 26 points from the judges, bringing the total score to 36.

Next, Tran Xuan Duc, representing the Albert Einstein team, presented a presentation on the topic of using social networks intelligently. Practical advice such as thinking carefully before posting, protecting privacy, spreading positive things and saying no to cyberbullying was presented confidently and coherently by Duc. The answer to the supplementary question was also very convincing, helping the team gain 29 more points, bringing the total score to 64 - creating a significant gap with the other team.

The atmosphere became more exciting and tense than ever in the final round – “Quick Hands”. Both teams showed great determination by quickly pressing the bell and answering continuously.

Albert Einstein's team continued to maintain their form, scoring 20 more points with 2 correct answers; meanwhile, Le Van Thiem's team tried to catch up and brought home 10 more points with 1 correct answer.

The chance to turn things around came with the final crossword question worth 40 points, which was related to World Environment Day. However, neither team could come up with the correct answer, leaving the match result unchanged.

In the end, with a total of 84 points, the Albert Einstein Primary, Secondary and High School team won convincingly and became the first team to enter the semi-finals of the program "English Window" season 2.
