The film, directed by Trinh Lam Tung, was developed from the prototype of the folk character Trang Quynh, creatively combining it with familiar legends in the cultural treasure of Linh Nam.
The official trailer has just been released, revealing the exciting adventure of the boy Quynh and his group of friends on their journey to clear their father's name and confront the dark force of the Nine-Tailed Fox - an image reminiscent of the legend of the nine-tailed fox in West Lake, Hanoi .

The nearly two-minute trailer opens with a scene of an ancient Northern village. The main character – the young Trang Quynh – appears smart and clever in the space of the communal house yard, the ferry, the banyan tree… The incident occurs when Quynh’s father is falsely accused of being a traitor and is forced to go into hiding.
To clear their father's name, a group of friends including Quynh, Coi Nhi, Bi Map, Muoi and a special buffalo embark on a dangerous adventure together. A series of intense events: chasing, fighting, and intellectual battles mixed with humorous laughter create an atmosphere that is both dramatic and witty.

Notably, the film is imbued with a strong folk cultural identity through traditional costumes (ao tu than, turban...), village settings, and legendary elements such as the sacred buffalo, sacred lake, Xac Cao lagoon... These details are cleverly integrated to both convey cultural values and appeal to young audiences.

Sharing about the project, director Trinh Lam Tung said: “We want to affirm that culture is not only the soul of the nation but also the strength to preserve and develop the country. Exporting culture is also a way to preserve it.”

The film also features the voiceover of Meritorious Artist Chieu Xuan, who is also the project's media ambassador.

Trang Quynh nhi: The legend of Kim Nguu is expected to bring a cinematic experience rich in entertainment, education and culture to audiences of all ages - especially in the context of Vietnamese films promoting the exploitation of folk materials combined with modern elements.
